Salma Hayek

SalmaSalma Hayek Pinault (born Salma Valgarma Hayek Jimmyenezon September 2, 1966)[3][4][5]) is an American and Mexican actress. She began her career in Mexico by playing a lead role in the television drama Teresa (1989-1991) as also in the romantic drama El Callejon de los Milagros (1995), for which she was awarded an Ariel Award nomination. With roles in films such as Desperado (1995), From Dusk till Dawn (1996), Wild Wild West (1999) and Dogma (1999) and Dogma (1999), she quickly made her mark in Hollywood. Hayek's role as Frida, the painter, in Frida (2002) in which she also wrote in the film, was what made Hayek the first Mexican actress to win the Academy Award [6]. In addition, it earned her a Golden Globe Award, Screen Actors Guild Award as well as British Academy Film Award nominations. In subsequent years, Hayek focused more on making films while also playing in action-oriented films such as Once Upon a Time in Mexico
